Pagoda Run Rules
Have fun.
Take your time. This is not a race. There is NO prize for finishing first. Be safe and respectful to other vehicles and participants.
Each participant must register, receive maps, and get their Pagoda Run Form at Flower Fields Parking Lot (Checkpoint 1).
Each participant must sign a liability waiver.
PagodaPass holders will receive one (1) Pagoda Run Form with their registration.
PagodaPass holders may purchase additional Pagoda Run Forms on day of event while supplies last. We will only take cash.
The winning hand is determined by standard poker hand rankings. There are no wild cards. There are no “five of a kind” hands. In the event that there is a tie, Participants will take one turn at the "skill game". High card wins. You must be present to win!
If you are playing multiple Pagoda Run Forms, you must give the form you are playing to the staff at the location before you play the "skill game" for that form. You cannot play the "skill game" and then decide which form to play it on. Remember, if you do not get the card you wanted you can pay $5 to discard the bad card, and try again. Only one "Retry". Paying for a "Retry" is only allowed on Checkpoint #5.
If you are unable to complete any or all checkpoints, additional "skill game" tries can be purchased at the event dinner. No substitution tries may be purchased at that time.
Aces count high for all hands, e.g. a pair of Aces beats a pair of Kings.
In a straight, an Ace can count low (e.g. A, 2, 3, 4, 5) OR high (e.g. T, J, Q, K, A) but NOT BOTH (e.g. Q, K, A, 2, 3) is NOT a straight.
If any card resulting from the "skill game" is a duplicate of a card that is already on your form, the "skill game" must be replayed. No Pagoda Run Form can have duplicate cards (e.g. you cannot have more than one King of Hearts in your hand).
Prizes are awarded on the Pagoda Run hand rankings outlined above, not on speed. We want all participants to have fun and remain safe, so please take your time on the run.
